The Department of Curriculum and Instruction understands that learning is a lifelong pursuit.
For those not seeking a full degree, but rather the acquisition of skills and knowledge, the department offers non-degree graduate certificate programs. These 12-credit certificate programs are intended for educators who wish to further their comprehension in a specific area of expertise.
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers two graduate certificate programs:
Graduate Certificate in Literacy and Deaf Education
The Neag School of Education Program in Literacy and Deaf Education is a 12-credit graduate certificate designed for educators who support the literacy development of deaf and hard of hearing students. Courses primarily meet online with several opportunities for face-to-face experiences throughout the year.
Educating Bilingual Learners Online Graduate Certificate
The Neag School of Education offers a 4-course, 12-credit 100% online graduate certificate designed for practicing educators who wish to hone their skills in order to better support English Learners in schools. All courses are offered via asynchronous coursework meaning that you can participate from anywhere in the world at any time.
